Web presence that you don't have to manage.

A professional website, lead follow-up, review requests, and email marketing — handled for you. You text me what you need. It gets done. You never log into anything.

What this replaces

Most small businesses cobble together a stack of tools they half-use. A website builder. A CRM they log into once. An email tool they've been meaning to set up. A review platform someone sold them.

Here's what those typically cost — and what you'd need to do with each of them:

What you need DIY approach Typical cost Who does the work?
Professional website Squarespace or Wix $23–39/mo You (learn the builder, keep it updated)
Lead follow-up HubSpot or Mailchimp $20–50/mo You (set up sequences, monitor responses)
Review requests Birdeye or Podium $250–350/mo You (configure triggers, manage platform)
Email marketing Mailchimp or Constant Contact $13–45/mo You (design emails, manage lists)
Business texting OpenPhone or Google Voice $15–20/mo You (another app to check)
Total (DIY) $321–504/mo You, across 5 different platforms
All of the above Afton Mountain Tech $149–249/mo Me. You just text when you need something.

The cost difference matters. But the real difference is who does the work. You didn't start a business to learn Mailchimp.

How it works

You text or email me what you need. I handle it. No portals, no dashboards, no "how do I update my website" support tickets.

Some examples of what that looks like:

You text: "We're closed Monday for the holiday." → Site updated within the hour.

You text: "Just wrapped up with the Hendersons." → Review request goes out automatically.

You text: "We're running a special this month, can we get the word out?" → I draft it, you approve with a thumbs up, it goes out.

You text: "How'd we do this month?" → You get a plain-English summary: new leads, site traffic, reviews collected, messages sent.

End of month, you get a recap whether you ask or not. You always know what you're getting for your money.

What "no CMS" means for you

Most business websites run on WordPress or a website builder. That means plugins to update, security patches to apply, a database that can get hacked, and a login you have to remember.

Your site is different. It's static HTML on a global content delivery network — the same infrastructure that serves sites for companies orders of magnitude larger than either of us. There's no database to breach, no plugins to exploit, no CMS to keep updated. It just serves pages, incredibly fast, from the server closest to whoever's looking at it.

What that means practically:

Your site loads in under a second, which helps with Google rankings. There's no admin panel for an attacker to find. There's nothing to "go down" in the traditional sense — the CDN has data centers worldwide, so even if one has issues, another takes over. I handle updates by editing the source and deploying — you never need to touch it.

Security included, not upsold

I run an IT security practice. Your web presence gets the same care.

SSL / HTTPS everywhere Automatic certificate management. Every page, every asset, encrypted in transit. No mixed-content warnings.
DDoS protection Your site sits behind enterprise-grade DDoS mitigation. Attacks get absorbed automatically — you'd never know it happened.
No attack surface No WordPress, no database, no admin login, no plugins. The most common attack vectors for small business sites simply don't exist.
Security headers Content Security Policy, HSTS, X-Frame-Options — the headers that security audits check for, configured correctly from day one.
DNS-level protection Your domain's DNS runs on infrastructure that handles a significant share of all internet traffic. It doesn't go down.
No shared hosting risk Your site isn't on a server with 500 other sites. There's no "noisy neighbor" who gets hacked and takes you down with them.

Most web designers don't think about this stuff. I do, because I see what goes wrong when it's not handled. Your website shouldn't be the weak link in your business security.

What about agencies?

A local web agency will typically charge $1,500–$5,000 to build your site, then $300–$500/month for ongoing management. You'll get good work, usually on WordPress, with a few hours of updates per month included.

I charge less because my costs are lower — not because the work is worse. Your site runs on infrastructure that costs me essentially nothing to host. I use AI tools to handle routine content updates in minutes instead of hours. Those savings get passed to you. The things that matter — design quality, site performance, security, being available when you need something — are the same or better.

Whether you need a simple five-page site or a large one with dozens of sections, the model is the same: you tell me what you need, I handle it. The infrastructure scales the same way either direction.

Common questions

What if I already have a website?

I'll rebuild it on the new infrastructure. Your content, your domain, your look — just faster, more secure, and maintained for you. If you've got a WordPress site you're happy with visually, I can match the design. We move your domain over with zero downtime.

Do I own my site?

Yes. Your domain is yours. Your content is yours. If you ever leave, I'll hand over everything — the HTML, the assets, your contact list, all of it. No lock-in, no hostage situations.

How fast are content updates?

Most updates go live within a few hours of your request, often within minutes. Text me at 10 AM, it's usually live before lunch.

What's included in "lead follow-up"?

When someone fills out your contact form or texts your business number, they get an immediate, personalized response — even at 11 PM on a Saturday. Then a follow-up sequence over the next day or two to make sure nobody falls through the cracks. You can see every conversation and step in at any point.

Can I send my own emails to customers?

On the Growth plan, yes. You tell me what you want to say — a promotion, a seasonal update, a holiday greeting — and I write it, design it, and send it. You approve before it goes out. If you want to write it yourself, that works too.

What happens if I need more than what's listed?

We talk about it. Some things fit naturally into the monthly plan. Bigger projects (a site redesign, a new section, a custom tool) get scoped and quoted separately. No surprises.
